Surgical Light Suspension Systems

Suspension arm systems for ideal visibility

Modern surgery tries to keep interventions as minimal as possible to shorten the invasion time and minimize the risk of infection. Precise, simple and safe positioning of surgical lights is required for such precision work.

VALiA systems are flexible

Our VALIA suspension arm systems were developed according to the high standards of today's modern ORs. VALiA systems are flexible and have arm lengths from 1600 mm (63 in) to 3200 mm (126 in) to adapt to the smallest OR as well as the largest hybrid OR. Our "Ultraglide" bearing units  and patented "NoDrift" braking system ensure that the lights move effortlessly around the surgical field and remain exactly where they are positioned. The spring arms of the surgical lights can be flexibly adjusted to any load between 1.5 and 21 kg (3.3 – 46 lbs), which saves both time and money when changing the end device.

As technology changes rapidly in the OR, we designed VALiA to be adaptable and upgradeable. With our triple plate solution, up to 2 satellite arms can be added laterally at any time to the four arms of the central axis. These ceiling supply units can hold medical displays, X-ray shields or other equipment.

Ondal VALiA C suspension arms cover the above requirements in full: long ranges, large cable passage and flexible payloads. For surgical lights with a maximum weight of 21 kg (46 lbs) and small medical displays, the more cost-effective VALiA S suspension arms are the preferred solution.

Important note: We only work with manufacturers of medical lights. We do not manufacture lights and do not supply directly to hospitals.
